Ground Mass Launch Party

On Friday, February 28th, Electric City will play host to the relaunch of a Buffalo-based record label called Ground Mass Music. Started in 2013 by Buffalo musician and visual artist Mark Valkwitch (Mark Kloud), the label is experiencing a rebirth after a hiatus. This bass music-oriented event will celebrate the release of a new EP on Ground Mass called vi-cin-i-ty which features work from local musicians including Mark Kloud, Steve Cable, Neurokinetic, and Dan Ratel, all of whom will be performing as part of the event. To add gravitas to the lineup, world-renowned drum-n-bass artists Gremlinz & Jesta will be performing as the headline act. Fresh off their 2024 album “The Lee Garden Historical Preservation Society” for Goldie’s legendary Metalheadz Records, the Toronto-based duo are sure to bring bass heads from Rochester to Southern Ontario to Electric City for a night of dynamic electronic music. Buffalo has developed into a prime hotbed for EDM and bass music DJs and artists, and this event adds another flavor to this exciting trend.
